Name your Own Price was tried in the music industry by Radiohead to promote their album In Rainbows album, and in the gaming industry by 2D Boy to support World of Goo. We thought we'd try it for our Flex Component business. If you think this is cool, buy one, or all, of our components and tell your friends.Our Thoughts on Pricing
- The AutoCompleteComboBox and DataSorter took about 3 months each to build. How long would it take you?
- Our Calendar Component has been in development for 9 months. Could you use a Calendar Component in your app? Do you have time to build it?
- We think our components are a bargain when compared to building it from scratch. What is the value of your time?
- Free e-mail support is included in this cost, as well as free upgrades. Do you want help in the unlikely event that things go wrong?
- It costs us $99.72 a day to keep the company running and most Flex Developers make more than that in an hour. Marketing costs, such as the $6,000 we spent as a Silver Sponsor of 360|Flex skew that number greatly. Do you want to support commercial vendors around the Flash Platform?
- Our goal is to grow the company to six hundred thousand in sales and to employee up to 5 Flex Developers; but right now it is just one person in a labor of love. Imagine what we can accomplish for you with more resources?
